Peter J. Fredericks has been appointed Market Administrator for the California Federal Milk Marketing Order #51 effective June 5, 2022. He had been serving as Assistant Administrator since August 2019. The announcement came from Dana H. Coale, Deputy Administrator of the Dairy Program for the Agricultural Marketing Service of USDA. Fredericks has 30 years of experience working with the FMMO program beginning in the Northeast. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Cornell University. He succeeds Cary Hunter, Market Administrator of the Southwest FMMO, who had served as the Interim Market Administrator since the California Order was established in 2018. Fredericks and his staff will work from the California FMMO offices in Woodland, Calif.
