Is your dairy certified in Environmental Stewardship?
CDQAP Environmental Certification provides piece of mind that you are in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations, helps show customers that California dairy cares about the environmental stewardship and earns the facility a 50% reduction in water quality fees for up to 5 years with continued regulatory compliance.
CDQAP certification is easy and voluntary. It’s a simple three-step process:
1. Complete educational classes (6 hours of water quality and 2 hours of air quality). The educational component is available online.
2. Complete required record keeping for water and air quality.
3. Complete an on-farm, third-party evaluation. Evaluations cost $550 per facility.

The deadline for certification is September 30, to be eligible for a 50% discount on water quality fees for the 2026- 27 billing cycle. Evaluations for 2026 must be scheduled before September 1 to ensure that it can be completed before the deadline.
