We are looking at producers’ use of risk management strategies on dairy operations. This survey is part of a USDA research project lead by Kansas State in collaboration with the University of Idaho.
We ask a series of questions about your unique operational circumstances, awareness of available programs, relationship with risk, and significance of each risk management strategy. Completing the survey should take less than 10 minutes. Your participation is entirely voluntary, you can skip any questions you are uncomfortable answering, and you can stop the survey at any time without any repercussions.
If you do participate in the survey, you will have an opportunity to enter your name for a chance to win a gift card for $500 (2 available), $100 (5 available), and $50 (10 available).
While this research may not provide any direct benefit to you, indirect benefits from your participation may include helping guide risk policy and outreach programs.

Any information that you provide is covered under the Institutional Review Board which provides a regulatory framework for all human subjects’ research. Only authorized persons working on this project will have access to this data. In addition, only unidentifiable information that does not trace back to a single entity will be presented to the public. The information collected in this survey may be used for future research studies under the requirement that all identifiable material is stripped off the data.
