Join the National Milk Producers Federation and the National Dairy FARM Program for a webinar providing the latest information on Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in dairy cattle. The session will feature insights on the rapidly evolving animal health situation, with an emphasis on what has changed since our last webinar including early signs for detection, updated biosecurity recommendations and contingency planning. Strategies for safeguarding the health and safety of workers handling cows infected with HPAI will also be discussed to ensure their well-being and maintain operational continuity.
Speakers
Keith Poulsen, DVM, PhD, DACVIM is a veterinarian and clinician scientist who specializes in zoonotic and foodborne infectious diseases. He serves as the director of the Wisconsin Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory and is a clinical associate professor in the medical sciences department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine.
Jason Lombard, DVM is an associate professor and dairy systems specialist at Colorado State University. After practicing dairy cattle medicine in Wisconsin for nearly 10 years, Dr. Lombard moved to a role with USDA’s National Animal Health Monitoring System where he was deployed for multiple cattle and poultry diseases during his 20-year federal career.
This session is specifically intended for dairy farmers, including FARM Program participants, cooperative staff and associate members affiliated with NMPF. NMPF and the FARM Program reserve the right to deny participation in this webinar to non-members and non-program participants.
