Preparing for harvest brings benefits:
1. Decisions are made in advance, with wiggle room for unforeseen consequences (who is chopping, what inoculant will we use, and have we brought in the Sealpro®?)
2. Communications skyrocket, everyone is on board, clarifications are made ahead of time (why DO I need to pack in 6” layers?)
3. Harvest has an exponentially better chance of being safe (safety clothing: check, equipment shutoff reminders: check, schedules planned for rest and (human) nutrition: check)
I host a 35- to 45-minute podcast for DairyVoice, covering a wide range of topics related to dairy. This one is special, featuring Ron and Donny. I think you’ll enjoy it and learn something along the way! Let me know what you found most interesting!
