Milk tanker truck residue violations decreased in 2023

Less than seven-hundredths of one percent – approximately 1 out of every 14,100 milk tankers – tested positive for antibiotic residues last year, according to the FDA’s National Milk Drug Residue Database Fiscal Year 2023 report. The number of samples testing positive for drug residues in fiscal year 2023 was down from the year before and is the lowest number on record.
