Nominate a Rural Community Initiative for the Farm Credit East Lipinski Rural Initiatives Award

Farm Credit East is currently accepting nominations for the Lipinski Rural Initiatives Award, which aims to recognize innovative and transformational efforts to revitalize Northeast rural communities. For 2023, Farm Credit East and its strategic partner CoBank have committed to award a combined $50,000 to one or more recipients. The nomination deadline has been extended to February 15, 2023.

The Lipinski Rural Initiatives Award recognizes programs, projects, individuals, businesses, organizations and/or institutions that create jobs in rural areas of the Northeast; contribute to the quality of life in rural communities; or enhance rural infrastructure, such as community facilities and broadband necessary for strong rural economies.

If you know an individual, organization or institution that is a champion for their rural community, nominate them today! Nominations must be received by February 15, 2023. Visit FarmCreditEast.com/Rural to learn more about the award, hear from past recipients or to submit a nomination.

The Lipinski Rural Initiatives Award was established by the Farm Credit East board of directors in 2020 in conjunction with Bill Lipinski’s retirement as CEO to recognize Lipinski’s 25 years as CEO and 40 years of service to Farm Credit East and related organizations.

Farm Credit East is a member owned cooperative with 25 locations in its eight-state service area. In addition to loans and leases, the organization also offers a full range of specialized financial services, such as tax preparation, payroll, record keeping, appraisal and consulting for farming, forest products and commercial fishing businesses. Farm Credit East is governed by a 19-person board of directors, comprised of 15 customer-elected, two customer appointed and two outside appointed directors.
