Matilda A. Maddox, 91, of Riverdale, Calif., passed away peacefully on September 19, 2026. Matilda always referred to herself as a “dairyman’s wife”, but she was so much more. She was a devoted mother of four, grandmother of 13 and great-grandmother of 26. She was a business woman, friend, volunteer, aunt and big sister to nine siblings.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Douglas Maddox, as well as two brothers. She leaves her sons, Stephen (Brenda) Maddox and Pat (Mary) Maddox of Riverdale and her daughters, Julia (Gerald) Chow of Easton and Elizabeth (Jamie) Bledsoe of Riverdale.
A rosary was held on Oct. 5 and her funeral Mass was Oct. 6.
