Even amidst the busy rhythms of summer farming, the pursuit of personal and professional growth remains essential. This season, sow the seeds of leadership excellence with two summer courses offered by Cornell Agricultural Workforce Development:

1. “Leadership for Quality Results” course (ASL102-SP), taught completely in Spanish and tailored specifically for those seeking to enhance their leadership skills in agricultural supervision. This transformative course empowers both seasoned agricultural managers and newcomers alike with the tools necessary to lead their teams and farms towards enduring success.

2. “Employee Development and Training” course (ASL105), a tailored program designed to equip farm supervisors with essential leadership practices for cultivating engaged and high-performing teams. Built upon the foundational pillars of setting clear expectations, employee training and development, and providing effective performance feedback, this course is a must for supervisors seeking to optimize farm operations and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Delivered through the user-friendly Moodle platform, these online courses offer convenient access to materials starting June 19, with live Zoom discussions scheduled every Tuesday at 12 PM ET for ASL102-SP and 3 PM ET for ASL105 from June 25 to July 30, 2024.

Each course is priced at $275 for residents or workers in New York State and $325 for participants outside the state or internationally, early registration is now open. About the Agricultural Supervisory Leadership Certificate Program:

The Agricultural Supervisory Leadership (ASL) certificate equips farm supervisors with essential human resource management practices and leadership skills to foster rewarding workplaces and drive business results. By confidently applying these skills, managers improve employee performance, develop teams, reduce turnover, and increase engagement, supported by extensive practice and engagement activities within the certificate program.
