Rogue Creamery Introduces Cheese is Love™ Cheddar to Give Back to a Community in Need

“We saw cheese makers creating short-term solutions through programs like GoFundMe and a Farm-to-Box program but these efforts weren’t sustainable for the long-term. The Cheese is Love™ campaign will provide a simple pay it forward concept where people can purchase cheese and know all the proceeds are going to those who need it most,” says Rogue Creamery president David Gremmels.  

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the demand for cheese donations has grown to 1,000 pounds, donated every other week through ACCESS and Rogue Food Unites. Together, Rogue Creamery partner Airstream Adventures and Rogue Creamery President David Gremmels provided seed money to kickstart the Cheese is Love™ campaign. In the spirit of paying it forward, Taylor Made Labels and West Coast Paper have both donated some of the packaging materials required to share this cheese with the community

“We can definitely see the positive long-term effects this will have on our community and surrounding areas. As a B-Corp, we have a culture of giving back,” says Gremmels. The pandemic and wildfires have made business difficult for many, but it hasn’t stopped Rogue from finding ways to provide for the community.
