President Trump signed an executive order this week that extended a reduction in the heightened tariff levels between the United States and China for 90 days, delaying the implementation of additional 34% U.S. tariffs on Chinese imports originally planned for August 12. The pause in those heightened tariffs will last through 12:01 AM Eastern Standard Time on November 10, 2025. China confirmed the extension in a joint statement and codified it in a Tariff Committee Announcement. China continues to maintain 10% retaliatory tariffs on all U.S. dairy exports, plus an additional 10% on certain dairy tariff codes in response to U.S. fentanyl-related tariff actions.
