As Data Coordinator, Taylor will work closely with NAAB staff and industry stakeholders to coordinate and manage the Dairy and Beef Cross Reference database. Taylor will be responsible to oversee all aspects of data processing from the point of data entry through to the distribution of associated reports and genetic evaluation information. Alongside guarding data integrity, Taylor will also be responsible to maintain and improve the user experience of the NAAB system for all end-users. As such, Taylor will be in frequent communication with cross reference participants and industry partners.
Taylor earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in both Animal Science and Equine Science in 2018 from North Dakota State University before starting her master’s program at Colorado State University. Taylor will soon defend her master’s thesis with the goal of graduating with her M.S. degree in Animal Breeding and Genetics this fall. Taylor maintained a 3.9 GPA through graduate school while assisting as a Graduate Teaching Assistant along with conducting her research gathering Repeated Measures of Pulmonary Arterial Pressure in Beef Cattle (Elevation and Feedlot). Taylor earned a large number of awards, scholarships and research fellowships through her undergraduate and graduate programs.
Taylor grew up on the family beef operation in Jessie, North Dakota. In addition to helping with general farm responsibilities, she had a small herd of breeding females which sparked her interest in genetics. Taylor currently resides in Grafton, North Dakota. In her free time, she enjoys golfing, snowboarding, knitting/crocheting, yoga, and fishing. She will be working for NAAB remotely from North Dakota but will visit the Madison office on a regular basis when travel is resumed.
NAAB is the national trade association for artificial insemination businesses. NAAB members account for about 95% of dairy semen sold in the USA and market semen to more than 100 countries around the world.
