
On Friday 14 and Saturday 15 November 2025, the Holland Holstein sHow will be held in WTC-Expo in Leeuwarden. We are excited about the 3 judges we have booked for this show and are happy to introduce them to you!
Holstein cows & type heifers Young Breeders
Iwan is very experienced in the show ring, having judged many shows all through the United Kingdom. He has also judged internationally in New Zealand, Australia, Italy and Ireland.
He is looking forward to seeing new, great cows at our national show and meeting respected breeders in the Netherlands.
Red Holstein cows & senior classes Young Breeders clipping, showmanship & type
Torben Melbaum from Emsbüren (Germany) judged cows several times on regional level and three times on larger shows: Ostfriesland, Baden Württemberg and Hessen. His first international show was in Austria. In 2022 he was associated judge at the Cremona Dairy Fair in Italy. As Young Breeder, he was national champion clipping in 2014. In 2015 and 2016 he was national champion showmanship in Germany. In 2013 he took second place at the European Young Breeders School in Battice. Torben enjoys working with cows and presenting them on shows. As Young Breeders judge he was active on many shows throughout Germany. Internationally, he judged the Luxemburg Summer Classics. Now he will judge our Young Breeders for the second time: the clipping competition, showmanship and type in the senior classes.
On Saturday, he will judge the Red Holstein classes. International shows he judged within the last years are Junior Expo Aargau Switzerland (2021), the national show in Poland (2023) and the regional show in Hobro, Denmark (2024).
Young Breeders clipping & showmanship juniors
Stephanie Alves from Luxembourg is 35 years old, married and mother of a young daughter. It is a great honour and pleasure for her to judge the national competition for Young Breeders at the Holland Holstein sHow this year. She has been participating in shows and showmanship events all over Europe for about 15 years. She has been judging for 15 years and has judged in several countries including Germany, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Finland, Denmark and now the Netherlands.
Stephanie always enjoys working with young people. She tries to convey the knowledge and passion she has gained in her career as best as she can. Humanity and accessibility for Young Breeders are always paramount. She wishes all participants much success and lots of fun on the way to the finish! See you on November 14th in Leeuwarden!
