Tour Leading Dairies, Innovative Companies and Scenic Idaho Views

PDP’s “Experience Idaho” Tour set for October 19-23, 2026

Dairy producers have a unique opportunity to go behind the scenes at cutting-edge dairies and

innovative agricultural businesses while experiencing the beautiful scenery of Idaho’s Magic Valley. In partnership with Progressive Publishing, Professional Dairy Producers® (PDP) will host the 2026 Experience Idaho tour as way for dairy producers to explore the best of Idaho’s dairy industry, learn from the state’s professionals and network with fellow producers.

Registration is now open for the October 19-23 tour, with space limited to the first 45 active dairy producers who reserve their spots. The tour includes four nights of lodging, a welcome reception, nine meals, tour transportation and all training materials. Attendees are responsible for their own transportation to and from Boise, Idaho.

The program includes tours of five leading dairies:

• Idaho Jersey Girls Dairy: The large-scale, vertically integrated operation owned by Bill and Susie Millenkamp includes approximately 100,000 cattle and daily milk production exceeding one million pounds. The tour will highlight the dairy’s rotary milking facilities, fresh-cow management, feed storage and integrated crop and feed systems, offering a look at how the operation manages scale and efficiency across its enterprises.
• Riverbend Dairy: Tour a 7,000-cow cross-ventilated facility at this 10,000+ cow dairy owned by Arie Roeloffs and family. The visit will explore how facility design, cow comfort, feed efficiency, innovative processing systems and a focus on continuous improvement contribute to the dairy’s productivity and profitability.
• Skyline Dairy: The Bosma family’s Skyline Dairy milks approximately 21,000 Jersey and Jersey-cross cows and is a founding partner of the privately held dairy processing company Idaho Milk Products. Producers will learn how the operation approaches large-scale herd management, calf raising, genetics and milk quality while creating value for both the farm and the broader dairy supply chain.
• Si-Ellen Dairy: Four generations of the Roth family have built Si-Ellen Dairy around cow care, employee engagement and continuous improvement. The tour will provide a firsthand look at the dairy’s modern facilities and the management practices, milk quality initiatives, employee wellness and development programs that support long-term performance.
• TLK Dairy: Producers will see innovation in action at TLK Dairy, including an advanced indoor feed center with a drive-over commodity delivery system designed to improve efficiency and reduce feed shrink. The visit will highlight how the Ketterling family uses technology, infrastructure investments and a focus on cow comfort to continually improve the operation.

In addition, the tour will include stops at Amalgamated Sugar Company, Progressive Publishing, Driscoll Brothers agricultural products – as well as opportunities to view some of Idaho’s natural beauty at Perrine Bridge and Shoshone Falls.
