About the Farms!
Carter Dairy: John Carter and his dad milk a mixed herd of Holstein, Jersey, and Normandy cows on their grazing dairy near Frankfort. Since the cows are out in the pasture for part of the year, they test the soil and water around them to make sure it stays clean.
Herr Dairy: Abbie Herr loves spending time with her cows on the family’s dairy farm outside of Kendallville. She knows the cows by name and many of them are mothers and daughters from several generations on the farm.
