CDCB will soon be offering whole-genome SNP parentage verification certificates. This product utilizes newly approved ICAR standards and can be used to meet export requirements for U.S. animals into global markets.
This service from CDCB is available to U.S.-based genomic nominators, breed associations, and the National Association of Animal Breeders (NAAB) at no additional cost. To request a certificate, users must submit via SFTP a file containing parentage information required for analysis (animal, dam, and sire IDs). SNP genotype data must already be loaded in the National Cooperator Database.
Keep an eye on the CDCB website for more details as this service launches next week.
