The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) International Agribusiness Center (IABC) hosted 13 delegations representing 21 different countries during World Dairy Expo, held in Madison, Wisconsin, from September 29 to October 2, 2026. More than 130 delegates from nearly every continent came to Wisconsin to tour farms and agricultural businesses, connect with suppliers, and enjoy our world-famous dairy products.
Delegates visited farms, genetics operations, crop and animal feed businesses, and other agricultural enterprises throughout Wisconsin to gain firsthand insight into the state’s agricultural production, processing capabilities, and diverse range of products. The visits included farms and facilities supported by the Wisconsin Corn Growers Association, Wisconsin Soybean Association, and Wisconsin Biofuels Association, as well as University of Wisconsin (UW) Extension and College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS) sites. These included the Arlington Research Station and other UW–Madison CALS facilities, providing delegates with a broader understanding of agricultural research, innovation, education, and production in Wisconsin. Delegates also participated in one-on-one business meetings in collaboration with the National Association of Animal Breeders and Certified Semen Services.
“In 2025, Wisconsin exported $3.99 billion in agricultural, forestry, and food products to 148 countries,” said DATCP Secretary Randy Romanski. “Wisconsin’s continued success in global markets is due to trade shows like World Dairy Expo and participation in events like the Tri-National Accord. Due to continued relationship building and partnership, people are coming to Wisconsin because we make meaningful and lasting connections with buyers and exporters alike. Now and into the future, DATCP will continue to turn international relationships into export potential, new customers, and long-term commercial opportunity.”
