Young Agriculture Leaders Encouraged to Apply for WFBF Awards

Applications are now available for Wisconsin Farm Bureau’s Young Farmer and Agriculturist program’s Farming for the Future, Outstanding Agriculture Professional and 35 Under 35 awards.  

  • The 35 Under 35 program recognizes members excelling in sustainability.   

Applicants are asked to share information about their role in agriculture, leadership experience and involvement in Farm Bureau.  





Young Farmer and Agriculturist members are shaping the future of agriculture,” said WFBF YFA Chair Ashley Lisowe. “Applying for awards through the YFA program highlights your commitment, innovation and leadership on the farm and in your community. Step forward, share your story and let your efforts be celebrated.”  

The winner of the Farming for the Future and Outstanding Agriculture Professional awards will receive $1,500 courtesy of GROWMARK, Inc., a trip to attend the 2027 American Farm Bureau Federation FUSION Conference, will be eligible to participate in the 2027 YFA Washington, D.C. Fly-In and be a guest of the 2027 WFBF YFA Conference.  

Thirty-five finalists will be selected for the 35 Under 35 program. Each finalist will receive $100 cash and other prizes. A top individual will be selected in each category to receive $500 cash. 35 Under 35 is sponsored by Insight FS.   

Applications for all awards are available at bit.ly/WIYFAContests and will be accepted until July 1. 





Wisconsin Farm Bureau’s Young Farmer and Agriculturist program is for members ages 18-35. The program offers opportunities for leadership and skills development, along with the chance to meet and network with peers. The YFA Program is supported by the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Foundation.
