The 2026 Indiana Dairy Farm & Industry Tour

Indiana Dairy Producers

Hop on the Bus with IDP!

IDP is on the move! Please join us for a fun, relaxing and informative bus trip to Central Illinois and Missouri on November 4th, 5th and 6th hosted by Phibro Animal Health. Join other dairy producers and industry representatives as we “go west.” There is nothing like a get-a-way with your peers to learn and relax after a busy harvest season. Enjoy the camaraderie and meet new friends!

A huge thank you goes out to our bus trip sponsors: Phibro Animal Health, Belstra Milling, and American Dairy Association of Indiana.

The trip includes:

  • A President! We will visit Abraham Lincoln’s home and Presidential Library in Springfield, Illinois. Many consider President Lincoln our greatest President. The Library and Museum is interactive and it is sure to capture Lincoln’s extraordinary leadership during a difficult and consequential moment in our nation’s history. It is a fabulous, must-see historical center whether you are a history buff or not.
  • Dr. Hutjens Insight: Next, we will travel to historical Quincy, Illinois, where we will enjoy dinner that evening with Dr. Mike Hutjens. Mike will talk to us about timely dairy topics. Dr. Hutjens is always informative and entertaining.
  • Phibro and Dairy Tours: The following day, we will tour Phibro Animal Health in the morning and then travel to Milk Source Dairy Farm located in La Belle, Missouri. The La Belle dairy is home to 5,500 cows and is known for their very progressive approach to managing cows.
  • Historic Brewery: We will then travel back to Quincy for dinner and a tour of the very historic Dick Brothers Brewery. American Foods Group will join us for a discussion on the cattle market, the beef industry, and their new plant in Wright City, Missouri.
  • Big Finish with Mark Twain: The following day, we will complete our trip by visiting the Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum in Hannibal, Missouri. We will experience the essence of Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn and their adventures through the sights and sounds of this historic river town.

The cost of the trip will be $250/person. This will include transportation, admission to each attraction and evening meals.
