There was a lot to celebrate at Dairy Girl Network’s Forward TogetHER National Conference last week, including DFA farmer-owner Courtney Henderson being named one of the organization’s Forward Under 40 award recipients.
The biennial award recognizes women whose leadership, innovative thinking, and contributions are helping move the dairy industry forward.
DFA farmer-owners and employees joined women from across dairy in Lexington, Ky., to connect, learn from one another, and strengthen relationships across the industry.
“I am not one that does things to be recognized, so to be recognized for the various activities that I do to promote dairy and agriculture was surprising and touching,” Courtney says. “It also helped fuel my desire and passion to continue advocating and educating folks on the dairy industry!”
