Natural Resource Manager (Land and Water Resources, Bureau Director)
This supervisory position administers the programs of the Bureau of Land and Water Resources including the Conservation Engineering, Land Resource Management, and Soil and Watershed Management Sections. This position, in concert with the Division Administrator and Bureau staff, sets goals and objectives for the Bureau of Land and Water Resources, measures results, makes recommendations for development of legislation and rulemaking, and develops policy for Bureau operation. This position provides direction and leadership in the administration of Bureau programs, defining work priorities and goals and maximizing available staff and financial resources to achieve those priorities. This position also works closely with other local, state, and federal agencies, the University of Wisconsin, and other external stakeholders involved in these programs to minimize duplication of efforts and maximize effectiveness of Bureau programs. This position has a range of supervisory and management responsibilities, including the direct supervision staff.
