Course Summary

This course will cover basic calf and heifer management principles led by Cornell University faculty and staff and industry researchers. It is designed for dairy business on-farm personnel (owner or employee) seeking to increase their knowledge of calf and heifer management. Participants should possess a formal or informal background in dairy cattle management, but not necessarily in calf and heifer management. A certificate of completion from Cornell CALS PRO-DAIRY is awarded upon completion of the course.

New this year! We are launching this course in 2 different formats. The content is the same in each format and you can choose the format that suits your schedule best.
The Real-Time course includes recorded video lectures, weekly quizzes and homework assignments, weekly live Question & Sessions with the instructors, and participant discussion forums. Course material should be completed as outlined in the course calendar over the 7 weeks of the course.
The On-Demand course includes recorded video lectures and weekly quizzes. You may begin the course whenever you want and will have 6 months to complete it once enrolled. Access to course materials begins on October 29.
