We were #DFAProud to have been a sponsor at the 50th Annual National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Convention in Atlanta, Georgia, emphasizing our commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion, specifically within science, technology, engineering and mathematics within agriculture.
We met with many of the 18,000 record-breaking attendees and sponsored 10 student scholarships.
Theodora Okhagbuzo, from the University of Kansas School of Engineering, was one of the students who was awarded a scholarship on behalf of DFA.
“Receiving this scholarship from DFA was not just financial support,” says Theodora. “It was a vote of confidence in my potential within the STEM field, specifically related to agriculture.”
We’re proud of students like Theodora and look forward to continuing to champion the importance of adding diverse perspectives to our Cooperative and industry.
