Discover effective insect control solutions from the makers of Starbar® products at Central Life Sciences, including Exhalt WDG™ Insect Growth Regulator, which helps reduce labeled insect populations and interrupt their life cycles.
By scatter or by spray, there’s protection from what comes knocking, crawling, or flying. Featuring two methods of application, Exhalt WDG™ Insect Growth Regulator is designed to protect livestock by causing a gradual reduction in listed insect populations and interrupting the life cycles of labeled nuisance pests.
FIRST-CHOICE PROTECTION WITH TWO MODES OF APPLICATION Exhalt WDG™ Insect Growth Regulator is a granular product that may be applied as a granular larvicide or dispersed into water and applied as a liquid spray. The active ingredient is novaluron, an insect growth regulator (IGR) that affects the developing immature stages of listed insects and prevents molting to adult forms.
The elimination of adult insects with Exhalt WDG™ Insect Growth Regulator occurs gradually and becomes apparent 1-2 weeks after application. As a sugar-based bait, it should be applied at low levels of operations where flies feed.
INSECTS CONTROLLED AND APPLICATION METHODS Exhalt WDG™ Insect Growth Regulator is approved for use in and around poultry, cattle*, equine*, and swine operations*, as well as other commercial* facilities. The active ingredient, novaluron, is an IGR that provides control by interrupting the life cycles of labeled insects and causing a gradual reduction in the population of house flies, stable flies**, dump flies, and soldier flies, as well as crickets, and German cockroach nymphs (indoor applications only).
Exhalt WDG™ Insect Growth Regulator is a granular product that may be applied dry or dispersed into water and applied as a liquid spray and may also be combined or tank-mixed and applied as a coarse spray with an EPA-registered insecticide. The combination of an adulticide and Exhalt WDG™ Insect Growth Regulator will provide control of labeled adult insects while inhibiting the immature stages from developing into adults.
INTEGRATED PEST MANAGEMENT (IPM) For effective control of listed insects, use Exhalt WDG™ Insect Growth Regulator as part of an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program that also features baits, traps, sprays and best cultural practices.
Using Exhalt WDG™ Insect Growth Regulator as part of an Integrated Pest Management program can help reduce the use of traditional insecticides and therefore reduce the risk of insecticide resistance. In addition, the granular formulation allows for even distribution, making it a cost-effective insect control solution.
After implementing Exhalt WDG™ Insect Growth Regulator and other control measures, it is important to monitor pest populations and evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment. This can be done through visual inspection or by using monitoring traps. If insect populations persist, adjustments to the IPM program may be needed.
