IDFA presents video “Diversity in Dairy”

IDFA is excited to present “Careers in Dairy: Diversity in Dairy,” a new video highlighting the dairy industry’s commitment to creating a diverse and inclusive workforce.

The most diverse companies are now more likely than ever to outperform less diverse peers. Diversity spurs better innovation, and it helps organizations speak to the needs of an increasingly diverse consumer base. Dairy companies who understand this have put in place strategies to improve diversity at all levels of their organizations and to empower individuals from all backgrounds to lead the industry forward. 

This new video highlights these themes for those considering a career in dairy. IDFA members are encouraged to download the video and use it in your communications, and your recruitment and retention efforts. IDFA staff will also add your company logo to the video for a more personalized product.

IDFA has been working with our HR Leaders in Dairy community and the IDFA Communications Committee to develop Careers in Dairy – a video series to aid IDFA member companies in their recruitment efforts for a wide variety of positions from a wide variety of backgrounds.

Season 1—now available in both English and Spanish—highlighted the benefits of working in specific positions within the industry, from trucking to quality assurance to research & development. In Season 2, we’re now focusing on making the dairy industry attractive to people of different backgrounds, like veterans and women. Season 3 will focus on mission-focused reasons for prospective employees to join our industry, from community engagement to action on sustainability to nourishing the world.
