Brian Carscadden is from Fergus, Ontario (Canada). He works as Executive Senior Manager at Blondin Sires. Before his AI career, Brian enjoyed many successes as a professional cowfitter, preparing show animals for top Holstein, Ayrshire and Jersey breeders around the world. He has judged Holstein, Red Holstein, Brown Swiss and Jersey at major shows in more than 30 countries. Due to his extensive experience as a jury member, he is part of various jury committees at Holstein Canada and Holstein Ontario. Brian: ‘I’m looking forward to judging the Holland Holstein sHow again. When I judged here in 2008 it was a high-level show and I expect that the quality will be even better this year due to genetics and management!’
Red Holstein cows & conformation heifers Young Breeders
Ysabel Jacobs from Cap-Santé, Quebec (Canada) was born and raised on Ferme Jacobs. She now owns this farm together with her father Jean, mother Marian and brother Yan. Ferme Jacobs is milking 400 cows. The herd classification is 60 EX, 145 VG and 42 GP. The average production is 11,000 kg with 4.40% fat and 3.24% protein. Ferme Jacobs was eight times Premier Breeder at the World Dairy Expo in Madison and seven times at the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto. They also received 94 All-Canadian and 60 All-American nominations. To date, Ysabel has judged in a few countries around the world, as well as numerous county shows in Quebec. In addition to working on the farm, she has the opportunity to pass on her passion to her three children.
Young Breeders clipping & showmanship seniors
Jonathan Rylaarsdam, together with his family, owns Delcreek Holsteins, located in Winchester, Ontario (Canada). They milk 70 cows, have 40 excellent cows in their herd and are two-time Master Breeder. Delcreek is known worldwide for breeding many animals that have been nominated for All-Ontario, All-Canadian and All-American awards. A highlight for Jonathan was breeding Delcreek Fatal Attraction, the unanimously voted All-American and All-Canadian Senior Calf in 2011. Jonathan has judged 4-H shows in Ontario, Quebec and the United States, as well as regional shows in Ontario and the United States. This year he also attended the National Jury Meeting in Canada. Jonathan is very much looking forward to judging in the Netherlands: the country where his father was born and raised.

Claire Swale resides in Aylmer, Ontario (Canada). She is an avid Holstein and Jersey enthusiast, owning cattle on both sides of the Atlantic under the ‘Heavenly’ prefix including several All-Canadian and All-American nominated animals. Additionally, she also has a passion for photography. Currently, she is the Marketing Manager for Select Sires Canada. Claire has had the opportunity to judge extensively all over the world, including shows throughout North America, Australia, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Spain, Switzerland, and extensively within the United Kingdom where she lived up until 2022. Claire is extremely passionate about 4-H and similar youth organizations. In 2018, she had the honor to be the official showmanship judge at the Canadian 4-H Dairy Classic show at the Royal Winter Fair. She also judged the showmanship at World Dairy Expo in 2022, and Swiss Expo in 2024.
