This morning, Maola/MDVA CEO Jay Bryant was awarded the Cooperative Leadership Award by the Virginia Cooperative Council.
Established in 1976, this award recognizes co-op educators, co-op employees and employees of cooperative organizations who have consistently worked throughout their careers to further the success of cooperatives in Virginia and whose career contributions at the local, state or national level are worthy of statewide acclaim.
Bryant will retire at the end of this year, his 37th year with Maola/MDVA, including almost 25 years at the helm.
Director of Communications & Marketing Amanda Culp presented Bryant with the award as VCC kicked-off National Cooperative Month at Shenandoah Valley Electric Cooperative headquarters in Harrisonburg.
