New Products: Innovative Manure Treatment at Wolf Creek Dairy Open House on June 28

Colorado dairy invites producers and industry experts to learn about advanced nutrient recovery and other technologies.

Wolf Creek Dairy in Eaton, CO is one of the first dairy farms in North America to implement an innovative manure processing technology that recovers nutrients from cow manure. “Our nutrient recovery treatment allows us to recover valuable components in manure, including nutrients, organic fiber and water”, explains dairyman and co-owner Adrian Diepersloot. “One key to our decision to go with this system was that it did not require our manure to go through an anaerobic digester prior to treatment, which reduces both cost and complexity”.

The system was provided by Trident Processes LLC, one of the leading company’s in the US for agricultural wastewater treatment and nutrient recovery systems. “We are excited to have the opportunity to collaborate with Adrian Diepersloot’s team on their Open House,” adds Kerry Doyle CEO of Trident. “Wolf Creek is a great example of how the next generation of dairy farmers is going to manage the operational needs as well as the environmental responsibilities of their farm. The Wolf Creek Open House on June 28 will bring together interested dairy farmers, industry experts and equipment providers from across the United States. Barn construction, cow handling, feed equipment, barn ventilation, milking equipment and manure management will be some of the featured topics. The event is scheduled to start at 11am. Hosted BBQ lunch and dinner will be provided. Attendees are asked to register by end of day June 19.
