• U.S. cheese exports reached record-breaking numbers for three consecutive months.
• Restaurant traffic has been uncharacteristically high across quick-serve and dine-in restaurants.
• U.S cow numbers and milk production are down year-over-year.
• Warmer than normal temperatures across the U.S. are posing a potential risk, especially in the Southwest.
• European milk flow is down, impacted by cool, wet weather.
• Retail sales have slowed down post Easter, and credit card debt is still high with delinquencies on the rise.
• Dairy Revenue Protection (DRP) insurance can help protect a guaranteed revenue or price floor.
• Price floors are based on 95% of futures price at the time of purchase.
• Tools like DRP can be used to protect margins and profitability.
