According to Co-Chairman Mike Brouk of Kansas State University, 1003 were registered and about 925 attended. Featured were two and a half days of educational presentations and roundtables, a half day of company informational sessions and various receptions and informal get togethers, all at the Peppermill Resort Casino and Spa.
Brouk said that of the attendees, about 20 percent were dairy producers managing over 750,000 cows. Attendees came from across the U.S. with 473 from the West, 349 from the Midwest and 130 from the East. Mexico and Canada sent 51.
“Considering all the issues with holding a conference in this environment, it was a success,” Brouk stated in a follow-up email. “When you consider the impact of COVID and the dairy economy, we were extremely blessed to be able to bring the industry together last week.”
Looking forward to a better environment in 2023, Brouk announced the dates of February 28 – March 2, 2023.
