Wisconsin Agribusiness Classic goes virtual

Welcomes out-of-state attendees to Jan. 11-13 online conference and tradeshow

Wisconsin’s premier agribusiness industry event, the Wisconsin Agribusiness Classic, will be held virtually in 2021—opening it up to interested individuals across the region and the nation. The popular conference and tradeshow will be held online Jan. 11-14.

The event brings together agribusiness professionals, crop consultants, government agency staff, extension professionals, scientists and students to learn about the latest issues and research of interest to the agricultural business and agronomy community.

“Much of the agronomy and soil science research we do in Wisconsin translates throughout the Midwest and in many cases throughout the United States,” says co-organizer Matt Ruark, a professor and extension specialist in the UW–Madison Department of Soil Science.

This year’s Classic features a strong opening general session with pertinent keynote presentations; an interactive tradeshow that is accessible 24/7 all four days of the Classic; and forty-five educational breakout sessions. The sessions cover a wide range of topics including the latest research on cover cropping, crop production and water quality; dicamba training; Farm Service Agency program updates; grain market outlook; and getting value from fungicides in corn and soybean production. Participants can obtain over 25 Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) credits.

The Wisconsin Agribusiness Classic is put on by the Wisconsin Agri-Business Association, a non-profit trade association for agribusiness industries in Wisconsin, in partnership with UW–Madison College of Agricultural and Life Sciences and the UW–Madison Division of Extension.
