Select Sires Inc., a global leader in bovine genetics and producer support, is proud to announce the launch of its new leadership development program. Tailored specifically for dairy and beef producers, this program aims to
help build stronger, more unified teams in today’s dynamic agricultural landscape. The program is now accepting applications for the first cohort that will meet in-person February 3-4, 2026.
This innovative program is designed to meet the unique challenges of agricultural business environments, equipping farm owners, managers, and next-generation leaders with the tools to foster effective cross-generational and cross-cultural communication. By aligning teams around shared goals, the program helps boost employee retention, engagement, and overall performance.
Farmers, ranchers, and on-farm teams face demanding responsibilities each day, with busy seasons and daily schedules. This leadership program is thoughtfully designed with those schedules in mind – making it easy to access, convenient to attend and impactful to their operation. Participants will gain access to industry-leading experts and practical, real-world strategies that drive long-term success. Unlike traditional leadership conferences and initiatives, this program spans six months with one in-person session and five virtual sessions to deliver hands-on learning experiences and networking opportunities.
“This leadership program was pilot tested by members of Select Sires’ board of directors,” said Rebekah Mast
Kingsley, vice president of global talent development. “Their feedback, rooted in real-world operational and industry challenges, helped shape the program to deliver meaningful value to herds and businesses. We encourage multiple participants from the same operation, as involving team members from diverse roles enhances the program’s impact and drives greater value for on-farm teams.”
